From a Few Words to a “Dictionary” of Language: Greyson’s Story
When Greyson Conway failed his newborn hearing screening, Ally and Michael stepped into the unknown.
At just two months old, Greyson was diagnosed with mild to moderate sensorineural hearing loss. Like so many parents, they didn’t know what the road ahead would look like. But they knew one thing: they would do everything they could to help their son thrive.
That journey led them to Clarke.
Greyson started at Clarke at age 3. Today, nearly three and a half years later, his growth is nothing short of remarkable. What began with just a few words has grown into what his mom Ally describes as a “dictionary for vocabulary.”
But the impact goes far beyond words.
At Clarke, Greyson found a place where he is understood, supported, and celebrated. He has learned to advocate for himself, connect with others, and use his voice. And alongside him, his parents, and his twin brother, Gage, have found guidance, strength, and hope.
To families just beginning this journey, Ally offers this:
“You are not alone. What feels overwhelming today will become familiar. Take it one step at a time, trust the process, and know there is so much support and possibility ahead.”
