For Families

Designed with families in mind

Clarke’s listening and spoken language (LSL) services and deaf and hard of hearing programs offer an array of educational opportunities, coaching, support groups and teleservices to meet the unique LSL needs of each family. Our programs for children build skills in listening, spoken language and literacy, while also cultivating the individual social, emotional and cognitive tools each child needs to succeed.

Thanks to early detection, advanced hearing technology and education at listening and spoken language schools like Clarke, children who are deaf or hard of hearing can thrive alongside their peers with typical hearing.

Clarke’s expert team of teachers of the deaf, speech-language pathologists, audiologists and education support specialists works closely with families, ensuring they have the information they need to make informed decisions about their child’s education and sharing the essential tools and strategies necessary to create a language-rich environment at home. And when our Clarke alums head off to their mainstream neighborhood schools, we also provide personalized guidance for that important and exciting transition.
