FAQs

Why is the Clarke Hearing Center discontinuing adult services?

We are shifting our focus to better support growing community needs in pediatric hearing care and school-based services. This transition allows us to strengthen our partnerships with local school districts and expand services for children and youth. Increased availability of other adult hearing services in the region has also influenced our decision.

Is the Clarke Hearing Center closing?

No. The Clarke Hearing Center is not closing. We are adjusting our service offerings to reflect current community needs and demand. We will continue to operate with a focus on pediatric and educational support services, exclusively serving patients ages birth to 21.

How will the Clarke Hearing Center help adult patients find a new provider?

Current adult patients have been notified of this change. Clarke is referring adult patients to Hampshire Hearing and Speech at 243 King Street, Suite 105, Northampton, MA, for continued audiological care. Hampshire Hearing and Speech can be contacted at 413.586.9572. We are committed to supporting a smooth transition. (UPDATED on Sept 17, 2025)

What about pediatric patients?

There is no change to pediatric services. We will continue to serve children and youth (ages birth to 21) with the same level of excellence and commitment.

What about warranties on devices purchased at the Clarke Hearing Center?

We will honor Clarke Hearing Center service plans. Manufacturer warranties can be serviced by other hearing centers or patients may contact the manufacturer directly.

Can I still make an appointment as an adult patient?

As of September 12, 2025, we are no longer accepting new adult patients. Services for existing adult patient appointments will continue through January 30, 2026. Any existing adult appointments after this date will be cancelled. Patients will be notified of cancellations and given a referral to continue their treatment with an alternative provider.

Will office hours change?

The current office hours for the Clarke Hearing Center remain unchanged. Any future updates will be announced on both the Clarke Schools and Clarke Hearing Center websites and communicated directly to patients.

How do I transfer my records to another provider?

Can I still come to the Clarke Hearing Center for device adjustments or repairs?
