Meet Mila, a Clarke New York student with mild to moderate sensorineural hearing loss in her right ear. 

Mila’s journey with Clarke started at four months old and when she received speech therapy services through Clarke’s Birth to Age Three Program. 

Mila enjoys a range of activities, including swimming, kicking a ball around in Central Park and cooking in her play kitchen. 

Mila recently advanced from SwimBabies to Swimtots in her swimming class and moved up to Clarke’s Preschool Program this fall. What an exciting time! 

Mila’s mother shares their experience at Clarke, saying, “Clarke was there for us from the beginning when the news of Mila’s hearing loss was fresh and daunting. Over the years, that initial fear has faded, leaving us excited for what’s next. Mila has grown into the confident talker she is today thanks to the support of the speech therapists at Clarke, and we are forever grateful.”
