Our Stories

“Attending Clarke gave me confidence to move into the mainstream classroom. I also gained the confidence to be who I am today, to be unique and not stereotype myself with others,” shared Jaimie, a Clarke alum who graduated from James Madison University in spring 2022 with a degree in health science.

Jaimie has bilateral sensorineural hearing loss and learned to listen and speak at Clarke. Jaimie recently started her own business health coaching and is pursuing grad school for athletic training.  Congratulations Jaimie!
