The Landon family of West Springfield, MA, has made a generous $7,500 donation to Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech through their fifth annual “I Can Hear You Now” comedy fundraiser. This event is held in loving memory of their daughter Tammy Jacobson-Landon, a cherished member of the Clarke team.
Tammy, who passed away in 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer, dedicated nearly a decade as Clarke’s Director of Foundation Relations. Deeply passionate about Clarke’s mission to teach children who are deaf or hard of hearing to listen and talk, she played a key role in securing essential funding for these impactful services.
In a heartfelt tribute to Tammy’s work and legacy, her family founded the “I Can Hear You Now” Fund. Since 2019, the family has generously donated over $100,000 to Clarke in her honor.
This year’s comedy night on October 12 brought laughter to attendees with three talented comedians, all in support of Clarke students.
Tammy’s parents, Marcia and Bruce, joined by her sister Tracey and brother-in-law Kevin, visited Clarke to formally present the donation to benefit Clarke students.
“Tammy was an invaluable member of the Clarke team, and her family is truly carrying forward her legacy,” shared Judy Sexton, head of programs and schools at Clarke. “We are deeply grateful for the family’s continued support, dedication and generosity.”
