  • Language and literacy
  • Social-emotional development
  • Early math and science
  • Music and movement
  • Creative outdoor play and hands-on exploration

Student progress is continuously monitored through observation, specialized assessments, and data collection.

Integrated Preschool Program

Integrated Preschool Expansion

Clarke Pennsylvania (Clarke PA) is expanding its preschool program with a new integrated classroom designed for children ages three to five, bringing together children who are deaf or hard of hearing and typically hearing peers in a nurturing, language-rich learning environment.

Offered in partnership with Saint Joseph’s University, a nationally recognized institution known for academic excellence and community engagement, and located on the university’s Hawk Hill campus in Philadelphia, the Clarke PA integrated program provides families with a unique preschool experience that combines the convenience of on-campus early childhood education with Clarke’s 150 years of expertise and leadership in literacy and listening and spoken language (LSL) development.

Children benefit from small class sizes, expert educators, and opportunities to develop strong communication, social-emotional, and academic skills that build a solid foundation for kindergarten and beyond.

Why Families Choose Clarke

Family partnership is at the heart of our program. Through daily communication via ClassDojo, ongoing access to teachers, and family education and observation opportunities throughout the year, we work closely with parents to support each child’s growth and success.

Program Highlights

  • Full-day, tuition-based, private preschool experience (8:30am–4pm)
  • Conveniently located on Saint Joseph’s University Hawk Hill campus with easy access from City Avenue
  • Low student-to-teacher ratio (1 teacher, 8 students, 1 teaching assistant)
  • Small group and individualized learning opportunities
  • Daily play-based learning experiences informed by research and best practices in early childhood education
  • Ongoing developmental progress monitoring
  • Family engagement and communication

Families receive formal progress reports and may participate in parent-teacher conferences three times each year to celebrate achievements and discuss next steps.
