Landon Family Donates $10,900 to Clarke in Memory of their Daughter

On Friday, October 21, 2022, the Landon family of West Springfield, MA, presented a $10,900 check to Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech from the third annual “I Can Hear You Now” comedy fundraiser honoring the late Tammy Jacobson-Landon, an inspiring member of the Clarke team.

Tammy Landon, who died of cancer in 2019, was the Director of Foundation Relations for Clarke for close to 10 years. She helped the organization to secure funding, enabling more children who are deaf or hard of hearing to learn to listen and talk.

To honor Tammy’s memory and benefit students who are learning to listen and talk at Clarke, the Landon family established the “I Can Hear You Now” Fund. The comedy fundraiser held on September 24 was a night of laughs featuring three comedians, with ticket proceeds supporting listening and spoken language education at Clarke. The Landon family, including Tammy’s parents Marcia and Bruce, and Tammy’s sister Tracey, visited Clarke’s Northampton, MA campus on October 21, 2022 to deliver the donation.

Thanks to the Landon family’s support, commitment and generosity, these funds will help Clarke teach more children who are deaf or hard of hearing to listen and talk.
