Dog Who is Deaf Visits Clarke Philadelphia

Clarke students met Cole, a dog who is deaf and inspiring classrooms of children in the Philadelphia area.

On July 20, Chris Hannah visited our campus with his dog, Cole, who is deaf. Cole, and Chris’s 10-year-old nephew Kevin inspired Chris’s comic book, “The Adventures of Captain Cochlear and Maestro Mutt.”

Chris is a music teacher in an elementary school in New Jersey. He rescued Cole from a shelter. Cole cannot hear, which was an inspiration to Chris in adopting him. Chris well understands the importance of raising awareness around a message of acceptance and inclusion and did a wonderful job working with students.
