Clarke Director Publishes Article in AC&E Magazine

Judy Sexton, MS, CED LSLS Cert AVEd, director of Clarke Philadelphia, has recently been published in AC&E’s (Accessibility, Compliance and Equity) January-February online journal. AC&E provides trusted resources and information to school districts, independent schools and higher education institutions around the nation.

Her article, “Readying Mainstream Classrooms and Schools for More Children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing” is one of this issue’s feature stories—displayed on the cover and with prime placement in the magazine.

In the article, Judy explains the increasing number of students with hearing loss entering mainstream schools; discusses the challenges they face in mainstream settings; and shares ways that mainstream school administrators and teaching staff can best accommodate this growing contingent of students.
