Clarke’s new Chief Communications Officer, Sheila Fortson, joins the Clarke team in October 2024.
Sheila is a dynamic leader with a wealth of experience in business strategy and communications, driving transformative change across both for-profit and nonprofit sectors. Her background includes television reporting, public relations, as well as brand and reputation management, equipping her with a comprehensive perspective to guide our communications strategy. Most recently, she led the corporate communications function for the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI).
Sheila holds a BA in Broadcast Journalism from Temple University and an MS in Global Strategic Communications from Florida International University, complemented by executive certifications from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania and Harvard University. An advocate for excellence, she is actively engaged with professional organizations including the Society for Health Communication, Women in Healthcare, and the National Association of Black Journalists.
