Twenty-three preschoolers and their families celebrated listening and spoken language milestones at the graduation event by singing and sharing Olympic-themed skits. Five of these young students will attend kindergarten at mainstream schools in the fall alongside their peers with typical hearing.
“Our students and their families worked harder than ever throughout this extraordinary school year. This year’s graduation is a celebration of our ‘champions.’ All of our students, their families and our staff demonstrated determination of Olympic proportions during the pandemic!"
Barbara Hecht, PhD, director of Clarke Boston
Students embraced the “celebration of champions” by wearing medals and t-shirts they decorated with Olympic symbols. The graduation took place at the Hilton Garden Inn in Canton, MA thanks to collaboration from Baskin-Robbins and Dunkin’, which have a corporate office in the town. The event was broadcast via Zoom for family members who could not attend in person.
“Supporting and building hope in the communities we serve is important to our company and team, and that's what Clarke does every day. Clarke students inspire us with their hard work and commitment, and we’re happy to help put smiles on the faces of these amazing children.”
Jason Maceda, President of Baskin-Robbins U.S. & Canada
