This two-day event brings together speech and language pathologists, teachers of the deaf, early intervention providers, other school professionals, audiologists and parents – all helping children who are deaf or hard of hearing learn to listen and talk. Workshops will relate to the 2019 theme, “Invest in Their Future” and will focus on the many facets of hearing loss and its academic and social implications for learning in mainstream classrooms.
The Mainstream Conference Planning Committee welcomes parents and professionals to submit a proposal to share their ideas and expertise at Clarke’s 2019 conference. Proposals are for mini-workshops, which are 90 minutes in length and offered in the morning (10:30 am -12:00 pm) and repeated in the afternoon (1:15 pm – 2:45 pm). Priority will be given to workshops that are “hands-on” and offer information that participants can easily apply to their work.
Four time slots are also available for vendors to present information in a scholarly manner along with product demos through a Learning Lab Product Demo Presentation option. Vendors can submit their proposals online too.
The submission deadline is Monday, February 25, 2019. Questions about the 2019 Fall Conference can be directed to
