Blue Hills Regional Technical School construction students build a playhouse for Clarke students

Students in the Construction Technology program at Blue Hills Regional Technical School combined craftsmanship and community service through a special hands-on project benefiting Clarke Massachusetts.

As part of the collaboration, Blue Hills Construction Technology students built and donated a custom playhouse for Clarke students to enjoy. In addition, they worked alongside Clarke students to create flower boxes, offering a shared, interactive learning experience that fostered connection and skill-building for students from both schools.

The project provided meaningful learning opportunities for all involved. Clarke students practiced self-advocacy, communication, and following directions in a real-world setting. Meanwhile, Blue Hills students gained valuable experience in teaching, observing, and supporting younger learners.

The partnership highlighted the impact of experiential education and the importance of community connections, demonstrating how students of all ages can learn from one another while giving back in meaningful ways.

We thank WHDH for showcasing this exciting partnership and shining a light on the positive work happening at Clarke.
