An International Partnership Sharing Tips for Professionals Supporting Mainstreamed Students

Through a longstanding partnership with the Spanish organization CLAVE (Caring for Hearing Impairment), Clarke's Mainstream News publication is translated into Spanish and shared with professionals and families in Spain.

More than 1,800 international Spanish-language speakers subscribe to Mainstream News via the CLAVE translation. Of Spanish readers:

  • 72% are speech-language pathologists, teachers, psychologists and education specialists
  • 11% are audiologists
  • 10% are parents and families of people who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • 6% are people who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • 1% are ear, nose, throat professionals

“Through this partnership, we are able to bring Clarke’s work and expertise to hundreds more professionals and families,” said Claire Troiano, Director of Mainstream Services and Educational Administrator of the K-8 Program at Clarke Northampton. “We are grateful for the continued collaboration!”

Please note: The Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (AG Bell) expanded globally by acquiring Spanish organization CLAVE in 2018.
