Reaching More Families in 2018: Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and now New York

With the impressive attendance and life-changing funds raised at our Listening Walks in Philadelphia, PA (2016 & 2017), and Mendon, MA (2017), we are thrilled to now offer a THIRD Listening Walk at the Bronx Zoo in New York, NY this year!

Clarke’s Listening Walk events are uniquely designed to show the public that children who are deaf or hard of hearing can listen and talk. These signature events, presented by Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech, raise awareness and support for Clarke and help ensure that more children and families than ever before have access to listening and spoken language therapy and education.

In May 2017, Clarke’s 2nd Annual Listening Walk at the Zoo and 5K Run at the Philadelphia Zoo raised over $100,000 and attracted over 1,100 participants. And in June 2017, we hosted our inaugural Listening Walk at Southwick’s Zoo in Mendon, MA, which drew more than 300 attendees and raised close to $40,000!

Our Listening Walks are designed to encourage children who are deaf or hard or hearing, and their friends and siblings, to use their listening skills to discover new sounds throughout the zoo, like the honk of a flamingo or the squeak of a bat.

We’re excited to now bring this popular event to the largest metropolitan zoo in the US, the Bronx Zoo, and hope to see many of you there! See below for upcoming dates and registration information for each event.
