Our Work Continues

Clarke is dedicated to providing uninterrupted support for students and families to decrease regression and support children as they learn listening and language skills, access speech therapy and increase self-advocacy.

Clarke students who are deaf or hard of hearing have continued to build the listening, learning and spoken language skills they need to succeed during the COVID-19 pandemic. When Clarke’s locations were physically closed to students and families in the early days of the pandemic, all programming moved to virtual and remote services to keep learning alive and families fully engaged. After transitioning to combinations of remote services, phased in-person instruction and tiered hybrid models across Clarke's five campuses, our teachers of the deaf, speech-language pathologists, audiologists and early intervention specialists continue to ensure that all Clarke children and families are set up for success.

Clarke's Expertise in Teleservices

Prior to COVID-19, Clarke conducted more than 3,400 teleservice sessions as part of its tVISIT (teleservices Virtual Intervention Services for Infants and Toddlers) Program and additional teleservice sessions with school-age children. These services are more critical than ever, and we are proud to offer more options than ever.
