About the Conference

AG Bell’s Global Listening and Spoken Language (LSL) Virtual Symposium will take place June 26-27, 2024 with all presentations recorded for on-demand viewing. 

Symposium highlights include: 

  • Live, virtual and on-demand events available for same registration fee.  
  • CEUs and certificates of learning available for both live and on-demand events.
  • Presented in both English and Spanish, with live captioning in multiple languages.

Evolving, Thriving Bookshelves: Choices for All Voices

Participants will reflect on their own literary choices and practices while gaining valuable resources for diversifying classroom bookshelves. Gain insights into the challenges involved in this endeavor and discover strategies to overcome them. 

This presentation sheds light on the crucial need for diversity in children’s books, particularly focusing on the demographic Clarke serves—children who are deaf or hard of hearing learning to listen and talk.

Clarke Florida Summer Program

Clarke’s three-week summer session in Jacksonville serves children who are deaf or hard of hearing from ages two to seven. The summer program focuses on listening skills and language development.
