  • May 3-4, 2021 - 2021 Virtual MEIC Conference Barbara Hecht, PhD, Marian Hartblay, MAT, MED, LSLS Cert. AVEd and Britani Schwaiger, MED, CEIS will present on Monday, May 3, 1:30-3:30. "Integrating Technology with Parent Coaching to Optimize Language Development"

  • May 3-7, 2021 - Teacher Appreciation Week

  • Friday, May 7, 2021 - Clarke will present "Mainstream Boulevard" at the Nemours Children's Clinic annual Hearing Loss in Schools conference for Florida. Clarke leaders will share strategies for guiding students who are deaf or hard of hearing who use listening and spoken language as they transition to mainstream schools. Participants will learn how to define success for students; identify roadblocks; assess readiness; prepare students and their family to transition; apply auditory access strategies and build an effective support team.

  • Wednesday, May 12, 2021, 4:00 - 5:00 pm - DESE, MCDHH and DPH are proud to offer a webinar Optimizing Outcomes for Students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, presented by Barbara Hecht, PhD, from Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech. Dr. Hecht was one of the writers of About the Guidelines – Deaf Education Guidelines (deafedguidelines.org). The Guidelines will be reviewed and strategies for implementation will be discussed. This webinar is free, but registration is required. CART and ASL interpretation have been requested for this event.

  • Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 10:00 am - Open Your Heart with Clarke: Family Yoga Fundraiser
    Relax and re-energize with your children in this 45-minute family yoga class led by Alex Silver-Fagan, a Nike Trainer and certified yoga instructor, while supporting children who are deaf or hard of hearing! All family members are welcome to join—no prior yoga experience is necessary! This is a virtual fitness class.
