Support Jackie’s Science Class

My preschool class is integrated, which means that children with hearing loss
learn alongside children born with typical hearing. We use fun and exciting activities to encourage our young students’ social, emotional, cognitive, physical and creative development. The goal of our class is to prepare our students for mainstream kindergarten.
Science experiments are a great way for our students to learn about the world
around them. Hands-on experiences also provide an excellent opportunity for our students to further develop language and learn new vocabulary like metamorphosis and observation. Our goal of $1,000 will bring the world of science to our classroom!

$20 would help us purchase a timer or some plastic specimen containers.
$50 would help us purchase a set of kid-safe prisms, color discover tubes or a specimen viewer.
$100 would help us purchase a magnet kit or a set of kid-sized binoculars.
$150 would help us purchase an Investigations Lab kit or a Hands On Science Supply Center.
We all thank you so very much for supporting our fun and exciting cause!
About Me
My name is Jacqueline Garcia, and I am the head teacher in the integrated class at Clarke’s New York campus. I graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood General Education with a concentration in Spanish, and from the Bank Street College of Education with a Master’s Degree in Infant and Family Development. I became a head teacher at Clarke in the summer of 2010 and since then have learned more from my class than I have in all my years of school combined!
