Reporter: …Smith College in Northampton today for a very special performance. The Clarke School for Hearing and Speech put on their annual show at the Mendenhall Center for Performing Arts. This year their performance was a musical mashup of The Wizard of Oz and Wicked. All the young actors have some sort of hearing loss but that does not stop them from hitting the stage.

Heather Stinson, Director: I wear a microphone, a transmitter, and all the kids have a wireless FM system attached to their cochlear implants or hearing aids.

Jessica Cavanaugh, Clarke Student: [making] people in the audience happy, I like to see them smile and I like to express myself.

Reporter: The students are putting on their second and final performance in just a little bit at seven o'clock.
