October 25, 2019

The purpose of the Coalition for Global Hearing Health is to advocate for effective hearing health services and policies, to equip and empower hearing healthcare professionals, families, educators, communities and those with hearing loss, and to encourage and perpetuate best practices.

The Coalition's annual conference convenes people from around the world. Conference attendees, including audiologists, teachers and therapists, are working towards making hearing health a priority, especially in low-resourced communities.

Sherri Fickenscher, LSLS Cert. AVEd, a teacher of the deaf at Clarke, presented at the 10th Annual Coalition for Global Hearing Health October 25-27 in Tempe, AZ.

Sherri's presentation, "Serve & Return: The Key to Healthy Brain Architecture" covered the importance of back and forth interactions and the role they play in building strong brains.
