2017 Call for Proposals Now OPEN!
January 11, 2017—Clarke Mainstream Services is requesting proposals for the 38th Conference on Mainstreaming Students with Hearing Loss. This year’s conference is titled, "Supporting Listening, Language & Literacy in the Mainstream Classroom," will include a full line-up of educational workshops and will be held on Thursday, October 19 and Friday, October 20, 2017 at the Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel in Marlborough, MA.
This annual two-day event brings together speech-language pathologists, teachers of the deaf, early intervention (EI) providers, school professionals, audiologists and parents – all working with children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Workshops focus on the many facets of hearing loss and its academic and social implications for learning in mainstream classrooms, along with topics focusing on this year’s theme of supporting listening, language and literacy in the mainstream classroom.
Over the years, we have received excellent proposals and we hope this year you will consider submitting a proposal to share your ideas and expertise at Clarke’s 2017 conference. Proposals are for mini-workshops, which are 90 minutes in length and offered in the morning (10:30 am -12:00 pm) and repeated in the afternoon (1:15 - 2:45 pm). Priority will be given to workshops that are “hands-on” and offer information that participants can easily apply to their work.
OPPORTUNITY FOR VENDORS OFFERED AGAIN THIS YEAR!
Four time slots are available for vendors to present information in a scholarly manner along with product demos through a Learning Lab Product Demo Presentation option.
