2016 Call for Proposals Now OPEN: 37th Annual Mainstream Conference

February 3, 2016—Clarke Mainstream Services is requesting proposals for the 37th Conference on Mainstreaming Students with Hearing Loss. This year’s conference will include a full line-up of educational workshops and will be held on Thursday, October 13 and Friday, October 14, 2016 at the Marriott Hotel in Springfield, MA. The theme is “Speaking Up for Self-Advocacy!”

This annual two-day event brings together speech and language pathologists, teachers of the deaf, early intervention (EI) providers, school professionals, audiologists and parents – all working with children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Workshops focus on the many facets of hearing loss and its academic and social implications for learning in mainstream classrooms, along with topics focusing on this year’s theme of self-advocacy.

Over the years, we have received excellent proposals and we hope this year you will consider submitting a proposal to share your ideas and expertise at Clarke’s 2016 conference. Proposals are for mini-workshops, which are 90 minutes in length and offered in the morning (10:30 am -12:00 pm) and repeated in the afternoon (1:15 pm - 2:45 pm). Priority will be given to workshops that are “hands-on” and offer information that participants can easily apply to their work.

OPPORTUNITY FOR VENDORS OFFERED AGAIN THIS YEAR!

Four time slots are available for vendors to present information in a scholarly manner along with product demos through a Learning Lab Product Demo Presentation option.
