Clarke Taps Alumnus, Grady Congleton, as Commencement Speaker

May 11, 2015—On Saturday, June 6th at 10:30 AM at the Helen Hills Hills Chapel in Northampton, Massachusetts, Clarke Commencement will celebrate our young graduates and graduates from the Smith College/Clarke School Graduate Program in Teacher Education. Grady Congleton ’05, ATC, LAT, Certified Athletic Trainer, will give the commencement speech.

Congleton will be a graduate himself this May after earning a Master of Science in Exercise and Sport Studies from Smith College. He is one of fewer than a dozen Certified Athletic Trainers in the country with hearing loss.

Congleton has remained dedicated to the Clarke mission and has served on the Alumni Council as a board member since 2009. "I am very excited,” says Congleton, “to have been chosen to be Clarke's Commencement Speaker this June. This is a tremendous honor for me, as this year marks the ten year anniversary of my own graduation. I look forward to imparting my wisdom and sharing my experiences since graduating from Clarke."

The event is open to the community.
