July 25, 2014—We were very sad to learn that Doris Blevins, a beloved member of the Clarke family, passed away this week at her home in North Carolina. Doris taught at Clarke for 38 years. She and her husband Bill Blevins (former Clarke Headmaster), raised their three daughters across the street from Bell Hall in Northampton and were at the very heart of Clarke's close community. This is a great loss and on behalf of Northampton staff and alumni, we extend our deep condolences to the entire family. Doris' obituary from The Daily Advance in Elizabeth City, NC, which includes funeral arrangements, is below.
