April 25, 2014—Acclaimed journalist and Clarke NY alumni parent, Lydia Denworth has been receiving media attention, including Time Magazine, CBS and NPR for her new book: I Can Hear You Whisper: An Intimate Journey through the Science of Sound and Language.

Called “luminous” and “indispensable” by Publisher’s Weekly, Lydia’s story movingly recounts twin journeys: her family’s, from the diagnosis of her youngest son’s hearing loss; and her own as she scrupulously researched the brain’s role in hearing and communication and the remarkable technology that would help her child.
