Spring Workshop to Focus on Listening, Language & Literacy


February 12, 2014—Clarke Mainstream Services will present a special workshop for speech language pathologists, teachers of the deaf and other hearing loss professionals on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel in Marlborough, MA. ASHA and LSLS credits are available.

AG Bell Academy for Listening and Spoken Language (LSLS) approved this program for 5 CE Hours.
American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) approved this program for 0.55 CEUs.

This day-long workshop, “Principles into Practice: Planning Language & Literacy Programs for Learners Who Are Deaf and Hard of Hearing” will be presented by Dr. Connie Mayer, Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at York University in Toronto, Canada. Dr. Mayer’s current research focuses on literacy development in deaf/hard of hearing learners with cochlear implants, early literacy, early intervention and models of teacher education.
