Clarke Boston Enjoys a Sweet Treat at Montilio's Bakery

January 5, 2014—On December 18, Clarke Boston visited Montilio's Bakery in Brockton, MA to decorate gingerbread cookies. The students got to decorate their own cookies with a piping bag of frosting and different candies. They also took a behind the scenes tour of the bakery to see how cookies and cakes are made.

We saw people decorating cookies, frosting cakes, and making muffins and other pastries. It was a great opportunity for the students to ask questions of the bakery employees and wish them Happy Holidays! Back in class, we reinforced the new words we learned at the bakery by reading different versions of the Gingerbread Man story. What a sweet treat!
