Explore The Outdoors!

August 4 - 7, 2013

A special four-day program for teens with hearing loss entering grades 9-12!

Participants will explore nature through camping, hiking, swimming and zip-lining in beautiful Western Massachusetts. This program is designed for teenagers with hearing loss who communicate using listening and spoken language and provides an excellent opportunity for teens in the mainstream to connect. Exploring will be led by experienced Teachers of the Deaf and young adult role models.


Activities include:

  • Camping at DAR State Forest
  • Hiking
  • Zip-lining
  • Ropes course
  • Sharing stories around the campfire

Early registration rate is $350 per participant. After July 3, 2013, program cost is $395.

Payment Information

The total cost of the program is $395. The early registration rate of $350 is available through July 9, 2013.

A $100 deposit is required with this application. This deposit is applied to the tuition if the child is accepted. If a child is unable to attend our program, a full refund can be made if we are notified in writing of his/her withdrawal at least four weeks prior to the starting date.

You can make this $100 deposit by CHECK or by CREDIT CARD or PAYPAL.

If child is accepted, the balance is due by Wednesday, July 22, 2013.
