Tyler Brinkmann

The 2011 Boston Marathon will be my fifth marathon, my second in Boston.  Living in Falmouth, Maine, the training has been cold and wet, but a marathon is all about the challenge, so why should the training be any different?  I feel so blessed to have this opportunity to race.  Running is nothing short of a gift to me, so it’s important that I give back where I can. That's why I’m representing Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech. Clarke is a leader in the field of auditory/oral education. Clarke works with children who are deaf and hard of hearing to help them build the skills they need to run their own Heartbreak Hills in life's journey.  I can run for miles, but it doesn't compare to the distance Clarke will go for their students.
